This is my second link up with Kelly's blog. The first link up that I did was about infertility .... now lets talk beauty protects. Two things near and dear to my heart, infertility and beauty products. :o) So here we go...here are my must haves!
Blonde Glam by Redken is my favorite shampoo and conditioner. My hairstylist here in Dallas told me about it and I have LOVED it. It is light weight but gives enough moisture and has kept my blonde hair from turning golden yellow, and extends time between highlights. I can use it on days when I dry my hair or on curly days. The best thing about this product is that it is so much less expensive than the shampoo I was using before. All you blonde ladies out there should give it a try, it will not disappoint.
Foundation is so important. I can't stand the caked on makeup look. I have naturally really dry very pale skin so it's hard to find a good foundation. I really love Chanel's Perfection Lumiere in Beige Rose. It's light enough for me but also provides good coverage when I need it. If applied with the correct brush it only takes a little bit to cover the face so the bottle last a long time.
I wear Chanel's Joues Contraste blush for my every day blush. All the colors are great! Blush is one of my favorite items in my makeup drawer, it can really change a whole look. I love a pop of pink on the cheek!
It's embarrassing to admit that I have worn the exact same everyday eye shadow colors since I first started wearing makeup in what...7th grade??!! But Bobbi Brown eye shadows are the BEST. In my customized palette for everyday I wear....Bone, Heather, Taupe and Blonde. Sometimes I mix in Slate if I want a little darker and stone if I want a little shimmer.

For my everyday eyeliner I use Clinique quickliner in blue/grey. I love this color. I use it on both the top lid and the outside of the bottom. For the inside of the bottom lid (or membrane...but I don't like that word) I use Lancome - Le Crayon Khol in teal. I have both of these stock piled because I am terrified that they will stop making these colors...paranoid...well maybe a little.
My new favorite mascara is by benefit and called they're Real! I admit that I saw on twitter that Emily Maynard wears this and I went right out and got it. I do love it and it doesn't flake off or rub off. Those eyelashes look just as good at 7pm as they did at 7am.
Last but not least my lipstick that I wear no matter what the occosian...this would be another one that i have worn my whole makeup wearing life. Cheapo L'oreal 810 in Sandstone.
Wow, that's a lot! I could keep going. I LOVE makeup and beauty products and have a bathroom full of them, however this is my everyday favorites. Can't wait to get some new favorites with reading others blog post!
Happy Friday!!
You and I bought the benefit mascara for the exact same reason! Emily Maynard, ha! I'm loving it, too! It doesn't flake and stays on forever!
ReplyDeleteI may have to try the Redken hair products. Just had my hi-lites done and maybe it will make a difference?
Stopping by from Kelly's!
I love Kelly's Korner and have been reading since before Harper was born, I've just never gotten up the nerve to link up! I'm totally tempted to do a post on Kyle for next Friday's singles link up though. He would probably kill me.
