Is it REALLY December?!?!?!

I can't believe that today is December 1st, time is flying bye! December is a really busy month in the Campbell house, as it is in most homes this time of year. While I was driving to work this morning and going over the list in my head of the million things that have to be done before we leave to go to Alexandria on the 22nd: I really got myself all worked up over presents for people, finding time to shop, finding time to bake, Christmas cards (ordering and mailing), even thinking when are we going to be able to find time to pack to go home?! When are we going to spend a free night just me and Monroe with no stress...clearly not until after the New Year!! :o) Just as I was in the middle of almost a breakdown thinking it will never get done, one of my favorite songs came on My Savior My God. I had to take a step back and really remember what this season is all about. This is a time when we should all be thankful for what we have, and make the season about the people we love in our life and not about material things. It is a time to spend with loved ones and to be thankful for the fact that we have grace in the Lord, and that He loves us unconditionally. I am taken back once again to John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

My friend Lauren had this quote on facebook and it really made me think...."God is more interested in your character than your comfort; God is more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your life happy." Thank you Jesus for this Christmas season and humbling me. Life is good!" Thank you Lauren for being a constant encouragement and blessing to me.

I pray that as this stressful time is here for all of us, that each of you can take time to really remember what the Holiday is about.

Monroe and I have so many fun things planned for December, and I can't wait for all of them. I will be sure to have lots of updates this coming month!

Merry Christmas and prayers for a stress free holiday season!!
