Lets talk about the exciting moments of this week! Linking up with Hello Happiness!!
1. We had our egg retrieval on Monday, which you can read about here. I was so nervous but it really wasn't that bad at all. I had a great team of doctors and nurses taking care of me and then was spoiled by the hubby when I got home. 17 eggs my friends 17! still not over that!
2. Monroe's cousin Luke and his wife Sydney are really dear to us for so many reasons, and you can check out her awesome blog Bumps Along the Way. Anyways, we ended up going bowling last week the 4 of us, and Monroe and Luke got into a bit of a competition. Well, the past Tuesday they decided they needed to have a rematch. Sydney stayed home because she had to work the next morning, but I had the privilege of sitting and watching this intense competition.

4. Protein bars, and Zoes Kitchen cup! After you have your egg retrieval, you are at risk for what is called OHSS, or Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome. I have been terrified of this, I am not hugely at risk but there is a chance. Some may say I have "health anxiety" but don't listen to them, I am just very aware of my body. Anyways, I have been very nervous, ok terrified of OHSS. My nurse told me tons of water and high high protein, and suggested protein bars. I have been chugging water from my Zoes cup and eating 2-3 protein bars a day, plus eggs and other sources of protein and staying away from sodium, unless that sodium is in Chipolte then I will have it.
5. I will write more later about our embryo transfer yesterday, but it wast the most amazing experience of my life. Praying for a good outcome, and overwhelmed by the people we have supporting us and praying for us. Praising God that we made it to this point.

I'm so glad you mentioned Chipotle. Gotta love that place.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!! I enjoyed reading your blog. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated :)
ReplyDeleteNew blog reader and fellow SBS member! I'm not too far from you in Greenville. :) Love your positive attitude and hoping you get a good outcome :)
ReplyDeleteI am SO jealous of your land line. I love "old fashioned" phones and am distraught that my children probably won't even know what it is outside of a museum, but my husband is all, "we don't need it yada yada" so I am forced to look longingly at others. ;)
